Amalgamation is a collective housing that is located 7th Street and Folsom Street in San Francisco. San Francisco has always been interested in distinguishing nature into the city. For denser pat of San Francisco, they promoted public "parklets" that allow neighbors to access the nature and also provide social spaces among neighbors.

The design of Amalgamation was targeted toward demographics of the area, which is made up of college students and young families. Through those social opportunities and by adding common amenities, they are brought together through indoor and outdoor collective spaces.
